Isn't phlegm spelled rather funny? It's like the creator of the word wanted to fit the essence of being all stuffed up into the word itself. Anyway, I've been living with it since Sunday, hit with a draining head cold. I've not really had a lot of other problems, just lots and lots of congestion and an overall lack of energy. No fever, no sore throats, no aches, but it's still not been fun. From 1000 miles away, my mom told me to dose myself liberally with Nyquil, so I've used that the last couple of evenings and have been sleeping a lot, with occasional wake-up-and-do-something-for-two-hours stretches.
I've got a doctor's appointment in thirty minutes, so I'm heading off to that; I don't know if they can help me much, but any reduction in the time I'm feeling bad would be worthwhile; I've got plans for the rest of the week that I don't want to miss!
Update (9:40AM): Nothing shocking from the doctor. I've been put on antibiotics and Mucinex and told to rest as much as possible. I did find that People's Pharmacy, my old standby, doesn't take my current health insurance, so I've moved over the the Walgreen's a few blocks from my house; it's a lot more convenient, but doesn't have the local charm of People's.
