Pub Quiz Night
Earlier this evening, I was thinking about my trip to Cambridge, England that I took last September. One of the things that stuck in my mind was the way pub culture seemed key to the British; I got to go to a few of them while there, and I was just reading today about how I should have acted while there.

The County Arms was my favorite due to my participation in their Tuesday night Quiz Night. Neil, one of my hosts at ARM, invited me to come with his group, and I had a great time. I did manage to help out the team, getting several American references that they were stumped on. Robin Hood and Little John was where we went for lunch on my last Friday in Cambridge, and I had a pretty good vegetarian curry and discussed the differences between Guy Fawkes Day and the US's Fourth of July. I also got to eat at the Red Lion pub where I learned all about "salad cream", the poor, flavorless substitute for American salad dressings that comes in much too small packets.
