The worst summer heatwave on record here in the UK continues today as my sister and I traveled from Bath to London. I don't have time to give a full recap of what we've been doing for the last few days (I'm writing this from a net cafe neat the Queensway station), but it's involved ancient Roman temple ruins, water than had lots and lots of iron in it, a tour run by an opinionated Welchman who doesn't like the Euro or Camilla Parker Bowles, watching Stonehenge through a fence to avoid the ridiculous fee, several watercolors that my sister painted, closed Chinese restaurants, aggressive pigeons, a hostel that only has hot water showers, Britain's two prettiest villages, and lots of boxed sandwiches from grocery stores. Bath was great, but two and a half days there and in the countryside was enough for me.
I've got piles of pictures... when I get back to the states, Flickr will have the best from the trip. I promise!
