Friday: Annelies isn't feeling great, but she craves some Mexican. We first head to Santa Rita to try it out, but the parking lot is full, so instead, we go to George's on Hancock. I'm glad the menu is very clear on vegetarian selections, so I get the cheese rellenos. I don't really like them--it's an frothy egg batter instead of a flour batter and just doesn't go well. Annelies liked her chicken enchiladas.
Saturday: I go and see Volver at the Alamo south. Loved it! Annelies and I meetup later and get student rush tickets for the Austin Lyric Opera's production of "Waiting for the Barbarians" by Phillip Glass. We both like the middle, but I prefer the start, while she likes the end. Set design was amazing.
Sunday: 3PM LunaFest at the Alamo Downtown with Skye. A good batch of short films. 7PM reading of unproduced script "Double Wide" at Cap City Comedy Club, It was funny live, but a bit cliche to make a good film, I thought.
Now: on a 757 headed to San Jose, California. Back in Austin late on Friday.
