I've had various online journals over the years. My original one was called (COOLLIST), and was online from 1994 to 1996, roughly. It started as an email alias back at Georgia Tech, and then became a mailing list. I'd post journal-type stuff to it, and it occasionally got some feedback from other people. In '96, a website, www.coollist.com, started up to give away mailing lists to people, so I changed the name to (MVEMJSUNP), which stands for "My Very Excited Mother Just Sat Upon Needles and Pins", a line from a Pylon song that I realized was a mnemonic device for remembering the order of the planets in the solar system. That list pretty much died out in 1998 due to a lack of posts, and since then I've been without a journal.
I started Veg Out! Austin in late 1999 and updated it for a couple of years, and I started palmoswerks in 2001 and still write articles for it a few times a month. Neither is a "personal" journal but instead more of a special-interest blog. This looks like a good way to get back into writing about myself and communicating with my friends, and I'm pretty excited about it.
If you want to see what I was like eight years ago, you can see some of the old (COOLLIST) messages at http://yak.net/coollist/. Some of the links don't work, but I just read through a few old messages and I forgot how funny they were. :)
