"Ju-on" was a blah film to me. It was creepy, but I didn't grasp the logic of the story, and I didn't care about the characters very much. I've got no idea how the US version will play -- I'd expect Sarah Michelle Geller (TV's Buffy) to get more screen time than the girl playing Riku in the Japanese film, but I wonder if they'd actually add an ending with some kind of resolution. The whole plot can be summarized as "anyone that goes into the haunted house is eventually killed by the ghosts". What. Ever.
Expect Jon Stewart to appear in yet another upcoming American remake, "Jew-On: The Oysgeshpilt".
Best MST3K line when one of the women gets pulled under the covers of her bed to her death: "that's not a very effective comforter".
