Waiting For a Little Dog
The AUS-DFW flight landed a few minutes ago, but we've been waiting on the ramp for the plane at A13 to push back, giving us access to the gate. Originally, it was to be a three minute delay, but after ten minutes, the pilot came on the PA and described the situation. The plane at the gate was waiting for one last piece of cargo, a pet carrier with a little dog that needed to fly with its owner. Lots of chuckles and awws, but we're still here waiting.

Update: a couple of minutes later, the pilot again spoke to the cabin. It ends up that the little dog was actually a specially trained bomb-sniffing dog travelling with an agent. We got clearance to go to A10, and now I'm sitting in the lounge for my flight to Gatwick.
